A creative problem-solving cosmetic scientist and skin care expert with a proven track record of the concept realisation and commercialisation of technically challenging projects. An active and well-respected member of the UK cosmetic industry with over twenty years of category-specific experience, who is included in the Society of Cosmetic Scientist (SCS) List of Experts.

An active member of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) Sun Products Working Group Expert Panel offering supporting the CTPA with working the Cosmetics Europe and the UK Government on sun protection ingredient legislative challenges, sun protection efficacy testing method developments.

An accomplished scientific communicator who can confidently act as the subject matter expert and brand ambassador, supporting with press releases, media interviews and brand press/PR launch events. Significant experience formulating broad spectrum photostable high protection SPF products using mineral UV filters, chemical UV filters and hybrid combination formulas. Significant expertise in the Global sun protection regulatory landscape and ISO efficacy testing methodologies.

Proven track record of academic collaboration, bringing specific expertise in novel formulation development strategies and providing scientific report writing skills and efficacy study designs to support in the patent application for innovative health and personal care products.

Listed as an inventor in a successfully granted EU patent for a multicomponent oral care composition for promoting the remineralizing of teeth and the alleviation of dentine hypersensitivity by the process of hydroxyapatite crystal seeded occlusion of dentinal tubules.

Toxicologist and Cosmetic Safety Assessor

A cosmetic safety assessor and regulatory compliance specialist with strong hands-on experience within the industry. 

With over 10 years of extensive industry expertise in manufacturing, testing, and regulatory affairs of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, transitioned to the toxicology and risk assessment area in the cosmetics industry. Recently attended the most updated training of the European Cosmetics Regulation of EC 1223/2009 - Safety Assessment Training Course.       

A regulatory compliance expert in personal care products and cosmetics possessing a deep understanding of industry practices and regulations.

Successfully managed dozens of projects with hundreds of products for brands from all over the world confidently to comply with the EU & UK and Turkey markets, including acceptable ingredients, labelling and claims.

Experienced in compiling Product Information Files (PIF), understanding reports and related scientific documents, conducting audits and obtaining approvals from legal regulatory authorities, particularly addressing challenges associated with borderline products. 

Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing and microbiological testing from the Quality Control point of view. Worked as a key role player in the microbiological testing of vaccines and IV drugs over the years with a strong foundation of GMP applications.
